Smoke and Memories is my first foray into the world of personal websites, so forgive me if it isn’t always perfectly polished. It started with a desire to have somewhere to publish the photos I love to take but sit abandoned on my hard drive and took form thanks to the drive, know how and support of my lovely man.
The name – “Smoke and Memories” – came after several weeks of brain storming and is a homage to my Grandad, George Green. A huge influence on me when I was growing up, and all round lovely man, Grandad was a pipe smoker. If I close my eyes, I can still see him sitting in his favourite chair, reading the Daily Mail and smoking his pipe; the smoke seeming to engulf him as he puffed away happily. If I concentrate, I can almost smell that unmistakable smell that I loved so much as a child. It was almost as good as the delicious smells that came from my Nan’s kitchen! Wonderful memories, and the kind I hope my girls will grow up with.
I hope you enjoy having a look around my site.
